Volunteer Perks
As I had volunteered for about 20 hours over the week, I was given free tickets to a wide array of movie screenings and panel discussions. I also had access to the Filmmaker Lounge on the rooftop. After watching a film, I went up to the roof, networked a bit, and took pictures of the vibrant lounge.
Old Town Pasadena
As the evening neared, I met up with my friend Eric from Pasadena. We were to have dinner in the downtown area, also known as Old Town Pasadena. It’s a really great location with lots of shopping, café and dining options, with an overall chill and casual bar scene. We ended up eating at Mi Piace, an Italian restaurant with a delicate ambience and flavorful food.
Afterwards, we met up with others at Barney’s Beanery to play a couple rounds of billiards. The bar carried a very fun, lively atmosphere and community, with comfortable seating throughout. But the best part was winning at pool.
